Sex trafficking is a nationwide problem that affects everyone, no matter race, socio-economic status, gender, or where the person lives. The reason why sex trafficking is a growing problem is because there are many parties involved who work together to ensure its success, including businesses like hotels, motels, modeling agencies, social media websites and so many others. Many of the businesses aid trafficking in order to benefit financially.

Many survivors of sex trafficking do not know their rights; however, it is possible to pursue a civil claim against those involved. Businesses who aid sex trafficking are subject to legal consequences and should be held responsible.
